Program Information

4-week online projects + in-person exhibition and awards ceremony.

The Community School of the Arts (CSA) invites you to a summer art experience with a set of curated art projects for students in grades PK-12. The program starts June 22 and it has been prepared by instructors at Women in the Arts, Inc. in Orlando, Florida.

  • Partner Locations: Hiawassee Library, Eatonville Library, Southeast Library.

  • Type: Attendees will be provided a link to a self-paced, virtual lesson each week.

  • Cost: Free. Limited registration spots. Art kits are provided. A library card in good standing is required. The library card will be verified at pick-up time.

Theme
Nature Trail Art Exploration

This summer join us in a fantastic art exploration as we embark on amazing nature trails from spectacular landscapes around the world to those beyond. Explore different media and materials in drawing, painting, photography, mixed media, and art science.

This journey includes four weekly online lessons, an art bin with supplies, and links to extend the adventure with related reading and resource materials from the Library and museum collections. All together, we will celebrate the conclusion of the program with an in-person awards reception.

How to participate

1. Select your project by grade level.

2. Complete the project at home.

3. Text or email the image or video clip of your completed project. Include your first and last name.

4. Each project is due preferably the same day or within a week.

The final deadline per each project is the next Saturday before 10:00 AM ET.

Equipment Requirements

Students will need access to a computer, laptop, tablet, or cell phone to access and submit assignments.

Tips

Parents: your assistance and supervision are recommended and necessary for some of the projects, especially for younger students.

Art Supplies Pick-Up
June 11-June 21 pick-up your art bin with supplies at your selected participating location. Library card in good standing required. Library card will be verified at pick-up time.
