Maria Guerrero (American, b. Uruguay) is the founder and director of Women in the Arts, Inc. a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization established in 2007 in Orlando, Florida. In the company of a generous board of benefactors, her philanthropic mission is to recognize the work of women artists and bring art education to the greater community.

For over 15 years, Maria's work and experience in art, architecture, business, and education inform her approach to effective leadership in the arts. Maria’s established expertise in art curation and programming pairs with her activism in developing long-lasting partnerships and building community.

Maria served as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Public Art Advisory Board for the City of Orlando and as Facilities Committee Leader at the Mennello Museum of American Art. She was a member of the Steering Committee leading the 50th. anniversary building renovation project at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Maria worked at The Scott Partnership Architecture and The Adams Group Architects.
