Program Information


Partner Locations: Hiawassee Library, Eatonville Library, Southeast Library.
Type: Attendees will be provided a link to a self-paced virtual lesson each week.
Cost: Free. Limited registration spots. Art kits are provided.  Library card in good standing required. Library card will be verified at pick-up time. 

Theme

"Art On The Water." This summer we’ll be exploring artists’ interpretations of the ocean and the human relationship to water, while learning drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media, and art-science. This journey includes five weekly online lessons, an art bin with supplies, and links to extend the adventure with related reading and resource materials from the library and museum collections.

Art Kit Pick-up

A free Art Kit with supplies is provided to the parent or designated adult of the registered student. Library card in good standing required. Library card will be verified at pick-up time. 


Art Kit Pick-up Dates

June 11- June 24 at your selected location: Hiawassee Library, Southeast Library, or Eatonville Library. 
Hours: Monday-Thursday 10:00 AM-7:00 PM. Friday-Saturday 10:00 AM-6:00 PM. These library locations are closed on Sunday.

How to participate

1. Select your project by grade level.

2. Complete the project at home.

3. Text or email the image or video clip of your completed project. Include your first and last name.

    The final deadline per each project is the next Saturday before 10:00 AM ET. 

 

Equipment Requirements

Students will need access to a computer, laptop, tablet, or cell phone to access and submit assignments.
 

Tips

Parents: your assistance and supervision is recommended and necessary for some of the projects, especially for younger students.
