"For over three decades, I have focused my art on the most unusual art theme of manhole covers, water covers, grates, and drains called Grate Works of Art. This art recognizes beauty in the mundane covers from our public infrastructures. My involvement has been a learning process. Not only have I come to appreciate the daily work of our Public Works Employees, but also I have become an environmental advocate for the conservation and protection of all of our precious resources undercover."
